This creation of Ford was inspired by the 1960’s GT40 model. The new model though is bigger, wider and taller than the original one.
Design Specification – This two seater model, having a mid-engine is often known as supercar. The unique features of this model are many. The aluminum body panels are formed from super plastic, the floor panel is roll bonded while the door panel is in one piece. To top it the engine has an aluminum cover and the inner panel is made of a single piece carbon fiber.
Technical specifications – The overall length of the car is 4800 mm while the overall width of the car is 2130 mm, the wheelbase being 2760 mm. The engine is a Cammer V8 5 with the displacement being 5300 cc. The weight is 1200kg and the maximum horsepower is 560 HP both following the 2008 regulation. The maximum torque offered by the car is 700Nm. The clutch is a racing clutch which is Tilton-triple plate. The gearbox is 6-speed sequential. The front and rear brakes are 6 piston monobloc calipers and carbon pads with AP Racing radicals. The front brake has a 380 mm carbon disk while the rears brake has a 355 mm carbon disc. The drive system is RWD while the front and rear tires are TBA.
