Maserati MC12 has been specially designed by Maserati to take part in the GT1 championship. The car is a two door coupe.
Design Specifications – The engine is situated between the axles but behind the cabin. This system keeps the center of gravity in the middle of the car improving its stability and its cornering capability. The unique feature of this car is that the interior is luxurious in spite of it being a sports car.
Technical details – The overall length of the car is 5191mm while the width is 2096 mm. The wheelbase is 2800 mm. The front and the rear track are 1730 mm and 1729 mm respectively. The weight of the car is 1250 while the maximum horsepower is 600 Hp as per the 2010 regulations. The engine is a 65 V12 with 4 valves per cylinder. Displacement is 5998 cc. Maximum torque of the car is 652Nm. The clutch is dry twin-plate with diameter 215 mm. The front and rear brakes are 380 mm x 34 mm and 335mm x 34 mm with Brembo braking system respectively. Both the suspensions are double wishbone with pushrod design. The gearbox is Maserati Cambiocorsa mechanical gearbox. The drive system is RWD while the wheels and the tyres are TBA for both front and rear.
